Casa Phara is near Silves on the Algarve coast, and is west of the airport in Faro its about a 40km drive from the villa.

The nearest towns are including Albufeira, Algoz, Lagos, Lagoa, Portimao and Porches, all within a 20 minute drinve of the villa.

Car hire Faro Airport can be booked in advance from the airport at Faro, and can be used for the period of time at the villa. The car can be collected or dropped back at the airport before a return trip.
The main drivers must ensure they have a driving license that is valid and up-to-date and also their passport each time you travel in the car.

Local Activities

Armação de Pera is 15 minutes drive from Casa Phara, it is one of the finest sandy beaches in the Algarve. There are a number of fish, seafood and exotic restaurants that serve fresh fish. The Fiesta Sand sculpture is just 10 minutes drive, each year there is a theme, sand sculpture is a festival that has been in Pêra near Algoz every summer for about 10 years.

A marine zoo that is offering attractions like dolphins, sea lions, magnificent birds of prey, waterpark, a number of other swimming pools and amusement centres. Dolphins are an attraction for many visitors and offer spectacular shows and displays.

The Algarve is home to many golfing courses designed with superb layouts, the Algarve is a firm favourite for golfers. Just 5 minutes from the villa is a golfing resort at Amendoiera it caters for both amateur and professional enthusiasts. Enjoy quad biking and tours of the local area.

Water sports are a favourite, surfing, jet ski, windsurfing and kiteboarding, safari tours take you into the heart of the Algarve and its wildlife in Albuferia and rock climbing courses are available.
